Explanation of basic terms and abbreviations.

National Coordination Unit (NCU) - a national public institution that, as a responsible body, is responsible for achieving the goals of the Swiss-Czech Cooperation Programme and is responsible to Switzerland in accordance with the Framework Agreement.

Framework Agreement - Framework Agreement between the Swiss Federal Council and the Government of the Czech Republic on the implementation of the Second Swiss Contribution to selected EU member states to reduce economic and social differences within the European Union signed on 29 June, 2023 is the basic legal document for the implementation of the Swiss-Czech Cooperation Programme.

Swiss-Czech Cooperation Programme - a bilateral programme between the Czech Republic and Switzerland to implement the Framework Agreement. It includes four areas of support implemented in the form of individual programmes: home care, sustainable tourism and strengthening of biodiversity, Czech-Swiss cooperation in research infrastructures and assistance to migrants in integrating into Czech society.

The Regulations on the implementation of the second Swiss contribution to selected member states of the European Union to reduce economic and social disparities within the European Union establishes general rules and procedures for cooperation programmes within the Second Swiss Contribution.

Support Measure Preparation Fund - the purpose of this Fund is to finance management expenses incurred by Programme Operators in connection with the preparation of Programmes. Its allocation is 0.35 million CHF. The Support Measure Preparation Fund is – together with the Technical Assistance Fund – part of the Technical Support Measure, whose mediator is the Ministry of Finance – National Coordination Unit.

Technical Support Fund – a fund intended for the financing of expenses incurred by national authorities (NCU, Paying Authority, Audit Authority) in connection with the Swiss-Czech Cooperation Programme. Its allocation is 1.15 million CHF. The Technical Assistance Fund is - together with the Support Measure Preparation Fund - part of the Technical Support Measure, whose mediator is the Ministry of Finance - National Coordination Unit.
